So easy to do. Via Martha (of course).

Purchase a wooden drapery rod, two brackets, and hanging hardware from a home-supply store. Paint the drapery rod and brackets to match the bedroom walls, and let dry. Install the brackets above the bed, positioning them at the desired height, and put the rod in place. Drape the quilt over the rod, lining up the bottom edges so that it hangs evenly.

I'd hang something like a grand old silk sari to give it an Indian flavour and a burst of rich colour. What do you think?

Saw this on Tumblr just now and had to post it here. What a gorgeous color. I thought it was a watercolor at first - the blue was so vivid and the leaves etheral, almost translucent. Beautiful.

Friday's Finds {for children, on Etsy}

This resolution to be posting every day in August is not working out very well. Between sleepless nights, errands, worrying about deadlines and figuring out what semi-solids to introduce baby to, the days and nights are a big, fat blur.

Baby's sleeping at the moment and I'm finding solace in the lovely finds from Etsy over on Knack Studios. Each item is lovely and makes me wish I had made them. From colorful lockets to thank-you seals, to a fun laptop cover and button pins, there's something for everybody. Go,take a look.

Lynne of the lovely Tea for Joy blog did what I'm still dreaming of. She has launched her own store 'Papermash'. The store will sell paper goods sourced from various independent designers. Take a look at some of the lovely things on offer...

I love the notebooks and polaroid postcards.

The wine tags make me want to get a bottle just so I can use a tag.
