Designer Anita Dongre’s house is a lovely blend of traditional and modern. Featured in the December 2010 issue of Better Homes and Gardens, the house is cozy, stylish and has lots of ideas one can copy.

I LOVE this space! The textiles are simply delicious :)
Thanks, everybody, for the comments. It is indeed a lovely house and I was interested in seeing how the modern and traditional juxtapose so effortlessly. I really like her choice of upholstery. I wouldn't have picked that green myself, but it looks perfect in this setting.
@GB: The artwork is traditional Indonesian, which she bought on one of her trips there. Apparently, it has been a huge source of, umm, debate, between her husband and her and she finally convinced him to let her hang it over the table. It's still growing on him, she says. Which probably means he doesn't like it much, ha ha :)

A befitting house for a befitting designer. Love her collections and am a big user of her Global Desi collection.
