Love... Art in the bathroom
I like the idea of having art in the bathroom. No reason why this most used room should be drab, boring and humdrum. In these photos, you see framed art, oils, photos. Are these just for effect or are they practical too? What effect does steam or humidity have on the frames and indeed, their contents? Do paintings survive well in the damp?
One solution would be to use cheap frames and insert botanical prints or other inexpensive photos /pictures from magazines or calendars that you can change on a regular basis. A set of decorative plates would be another great idea - you wouldn't have to worry about damage from damp here.

via TheDecodetective Love... Balcony Gardens
There are only a few Indian decor bloggers out there (that I know of) and one of my favorites is Rajee Sood. She has a lovely home and impeccable taste in all things interiors.
One of my favourite posts on her blog is called 'Elements of a personal space'. Here, Rajee takes us on a tour of her little balcony garden, complete with lush green plants and serene Buddha. She painted her pots and allowed them to grow mossy and age gracefully. The arrangements of the pots, the stones and the garden accessories are quite lovely and have a very pleasing effect, overall. I'm inspired to paint some pots myself now!

How's this for an easy kitchen garden?

With the monsoons round the corner, perhaps it's time to do some serious gardening.
